Raise purchase orders from a sales order

Let Omono raise the purchase orders a sales order needs, one per supplier, with Raise Linked PO.

Written by Chris Hearn

Raise Linked PO works out what a sales order is short of and raises one draft purchase order per supplier.

  1. Open the sales order and click Raise Linked PO in the action bar. The Raise Linked Purchase Order form opens.

  2. Check the Supplier for each line. Omono pre-selects the item's preferred supplier. To change it, press Backspace to clear the field and pick another.

  3. Check the Purchase Qty. It is raised to the item's minimum order quantity, and you cannot change it here; edit the line on the purchase order afterwards.

  4. Click Create Purchase Orders and Choose delivery address: one of Our Addresses (the first is selected in advance), or the Customer Delivery Address from the sales order.

  5. Click Confirm. Omono creates one draft purchase order per supplier.

  6. Open each new PO from the PO-1234 button under Purchase Order Link. Check it, click Add Delivery and book the full quantity, then Email, Download or Print it to move it to On Order.

The Raise Linked Purchase Order form, listing the line that is short of stock with its suggested supplier.

If enough stock is available, the form says so and you cannot raise a purchase order. Purchase Qty ignores stock already on order, so check the item's On Order figure before you raise a second linked PO for the same item.
